More like a highly televised and commercialized football game. The "bowl system" in college football used to be centered around a few big games to settle championships and as a "best of the best" last few games for the season. But now instead of just a handful, we have bowls like the "Little Caesar's Pizza Bowl" and the "Buffalo Wild Wings Bowl" which, despite being the title sponsor of the game, Buffalo Wild Wings did not show it at their restaurants to instead show a UFC fight. Oh and lets not forget the various insurance, bank, and other non-football related corporations who bought bowls as well.

I don't either. Football to me is just a bunch of sweaty, grunting men in matching pairs of tights jumping on top of another group of sweaty grunting men wearing a different colored pair of matching tights for a piece of leather that is thrown around.

I'd crack a joke about all the bowl games being an extension of the everyone-gets-a-ribbon phenomenon, but BU couldn't even make THOSE bowls for years, so I can't say nothin'.
